Registration for the children’s summer camps at Zdravets Horse Riding Centre is now open. The camp lasts one or more weeks and is full of games, riding, walks and sport. In this article we would like to introduce parents to the conditions and benefits of the summer camp.

The first question on a parent’s mind is whether the children will be safe. Are the horses gentle? – We at Zdravets Horse Riding Centre guarantee a safe, caring and positive environment. The horses at the centre are raised in an exceptionally humane way and love children. The philosophy we have used in raising and training the horses is Natural Horsemanship, a philosophy we have already written about in our blog.

The centre also offers a trial day, so you can make sure the conditions meet your expectations. This way you will hear your child’s opinion and be able to judge more accurately whether the setting is right. If you have questions about the camp, you can visit the Frequently Asked Questions page. If you need more information, we will be happy to hear from you and help in every way we can.

What are the benefits of children’s summer camps?

Thanks to the camp, children can create memories for a lifetime! They get to know the Natural Horsemanship philosophy, which teaches them respect for the animal. They ride and build the right relationship with the horse. Besides riding skills, children also learn independence. They make many new friends who may stay with them for life, and they dive into a world of games and sport that is hard to find in the city. The activities included in the programme are:

• Daily riding lessons with the Natural Horsemanship system.
• Archery.
• Table tennis, football, swimming, Hora-dzhagi.
• Sport dancing.
• Escape room.
• Mountain orienteering.
• A variety of outdoor games and outings.
• Gathering herbs and learning about their healing properties.
• A lesson in love of the homeland – a visit to the monument of Botev’s band and St. Nikolay Monastery.
• All-day care for the children by entertainers.
