What makes a stay of 7 days or more at Zdravets Horse Riding Centre so special? Children get the wonderful chance to spend time with people’s best friends, the horses, riding and caring for them every day. It’s a week away from the city in a safe, caring and positive setting, full of new knowledge, new skills and new friendships. The days are packed with games, competitions, archery, forest walks, orienteering and herb gathering. Splashing and playing in the natural lake in our picturesque mountain valley brings endless fun and unforgettable memories. And sleeping outdoors in tents gives children their own personal space, so they feel responsible and independent, just like real scouts.

Natural Horsemanship

Our training is built on understanding how horses think and on creating partnership and respect between rider and horse, rather than on force or dominance. A good leader doesn’t need force. The Natural Horsemanship philosophy means building a true relationship of communication and understanding, which is the key to a horse’s heart.

The camp includes:

7 days / 6 nights with breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Daily riding lessons (theory and practice) using the Natural Horsemanship method.
Swimming and play in our own private lake.
Archery.
Hora-dzhagi, football and table tennis.
Dance and movement sessions.
Hikes and orienteering.
A lesson in Bulgarian heritage: a visit to St. Nikolay Monastery.
Herb gathering and learning about their healing properties.
A variety of outdoor games.
Activities led by members of our Academy.
Insurance.

*The programme may be adjusted if the weather is not suitable for some activities.

– Each camp session lasts seven days, from Sunday to Saturday.
